It is reported that the Keshen 13 gas field has a gas bearing area of 49.9 square kilometers and a total proven natural gas geological reserve of 55 billion cubic meters. The formation pressure exceeds 136 megapascals and the wellhead pressure exceeds 110 megapascals, making it the highest pressure ultra-high pressure gas reservoir in the history of gas field development in China.

The newly completed drilling tasks of Keshen 132-2 and 132-3 wells are the first batch of development wells in Keshen 13 gas field, with oil pressure exceeding 104 megapascals and daily gas production exceeding 500000 cubic meters. As of now, all 7 wells drilled in the Keshen 13 gas field have obtained high-yield industrial gas flow, and the 5 wells currently being drilled have also encountered high-quality natural gas reservoirs.

The Kela Keshen atmospheric area of the Tarim Basin where Keshen 13 Gas Field is located is the first trillion cubic meters atmospheric area verified in the Tarim Basin. The verified development of Keshen 13 Gas Field marks that all the ultra deep fields of 7000~8000 meters in this gas area have been verified and put into development.

During the epidemic, Tarim Oilfield persisted in not shutting down wells or stopping production. Currently, the daily crude oil production has reached over 17000 tons, and the daily natural gas production has reached 89 million cubic meters. According to Zhu Shuiqiao, Deputy General Manager of Tarim Oilfield Company, Tarim Oilfield has fully launched the construction of 20 key projects, adopting "point-to-point" charter and other methods to enable employees to return to work and resume work. The resumption rate of drilling projects is 100%.

It is reported that Tarim Oilfield is one of the main gas sources for the West East Gas Pipeline, responsible for supplying gas to more than 120 large and medium-sized cities in East and North China, with a population of about 400 million and more than 3000 enterprises.
